Even in the new PIX OS 7.0 data sheet there is no mention of it, only "Improved SNMP Monitoring" i.e. RO:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A class="jive-link-custom" href="http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_data_sheet0900aecd80225ae1.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_data_sheet0900aecd80225ae1.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think the rationale behind is that it doesn't make sense to use a vulnerable/non-secure protocol such as SNMP to manage a security appliance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That being said, I still wish that one day SNMP RW will somehow be securely enabled on the "Dedicated Out-of-Band Management Interface" introduced in OS 7.0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mustafa&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
