SSH Version 1 Logging in IPS

Hi ,

Edited the "sshd_config" file to support only for the SSH version 2 and killed the session using "kill -HUP pid". But still SSH version 1 is working.

Also confirmed the the sshd_config file saved properly (protocol 2). Please help.

You will need to reboot the cids in order for that to take effect:

/etc/init.d/cids reboot

Will this cids reboot creates any downtime? Restarting SSHD service is not enough to make bring the modifcation in to active mode?

yes, it will create downtime while it reboots. I would suggest doing the reboot after hours/non-peak hours.

unfortunately cids needs to be rebooted for it to take effect.
