I have 2 Pix 515 in production at our main facility here in Paris

One is a backup solution with 6.2(2) software

How can i enable the VPN-3DES ??

Is it free ? 😉

Now main problem : our main Pix is software 4.4 "only"

I must set up VPN for client access very soon...

My setup use 4 zone and both Pix have 4 ethernet ports.

Can i upgrade the 4.4 to ver 6.3 ??

I have enought memory but the 6.3 needs an activation key to enable more then 3 zone...

How will i get an activation key for my old firewall ??

YES the 3DES activation key is for free now. But you need a Reseller or someone that has a valid CCO Account to do that for you.

Anyway to get the activation key, go to:

https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/Licensing/PrivateRegistrationServlet

To get an unrestricted license for more than 3 interfaces sent an email to mailto:licensing@cisco.com or call you Cisco Reseller
