FTPing IPS signatures

I have an 1841 router with the F/W feature set ( C1841-ADVSECURITYK9-M), Version 12.4(25e)) and am researching the IPS capability. All the documentation I've read talks about adding the idconf switch at the end of the copy but I am not able to do so .... what am I missing ?

From the "Getting Started with IOS IPS ― A Step-by-Step Guide"

Step 5.1: Copy the downloaded signature package from the FTP server to the router

copy ftp://<ftp_user:password@Server_IP_address>/<signature_package> idconf

Note: Please remember to use the `idconf' parameter at the end of the copy command.

router#copy ftp://cisco:cisco@10.1.1.1/IOS-S310-CLI.pkg idconf
