1)I Have minimum ram 512 and i receive the below msg when i issue the sh version

critical system features will not function properly. its look like what?

ans : seems like your ASA doesn't have enough RAM to support the version of the IOS you are trying to load. like if you have 5520 with 512 mb ram and you are trying IOS 8.2 ( which needs 2 gb ram ) , you will see that error.

2)

Failover : Active/Active perpetual

what is the perpetual, mean?

Ans : perpetual = never changing

that means the serial activation key supports A/A failover and it's not just something they offer you to test for few days ,

like BOT net filter is normally valid for 30-60 days and then wont work unless you get an activation key for it.

Manish

Could be nothing or could be a lot of things. The new code requirement of more memory means the coder who wrote the code assigned a more space or buckets etc for various functions/features that you use and i think it could mess up a lot more things if you use less mem than recommened for any code.

The complete answer that what will run or not run or will have issues can only be answered by the guys who wrote the code that we all run .

Manish
