stub multicast routing error

folks

after a long saga of trying to get multicast through my asa i've resorted to SMR

Topology

i have a test setup which goes as follows

LAN --------- inrernal firewall ------- (PC 1) ------- (inside) ASA (outside) ------- (PC 2) ------ R1 ------ MPLS cloud --------- R2 ---------- Multicast Server

pc 1 is setup as a test receiver in the network between the internal firewall and the ASA

pc 2 is setup as a test receiver in the network between the ASA and R1

on my ASA inside interface i have configured

no pim
igmp forward interface Outside

i have multicast routing enabled

PIM is disabled on all interfaces

IGMP is enabled only on the inside interface

R1, the MPLS cloud, R2 and the multicast server are not in my control

i can get the multicast from PC2

i can't get the multicast stream from PC1 and when i debug igmp interface inside i get the following ouput

IGMP: IGMP fwd idb Outside disabled

Question:

am i missing something?

has anyone seen this error before

i'm following the ISR guide to SMR and the little info there is in the ASA CLI guide

folks

got this fixed

IGMP was disabled on the outside interface

this is odd as i had configured the 'pim' command from the CLI on the interface but on the asdm it was showing as disabled

once i enabled it on the asdm i could see the igmp packets being forwarded
