Hi to all, I have a problem after upgrading the ASA5505 unlimited to 8.4.1, the message shown after startup is:

It has 512 Mb of ram and this is the view from sh ver:

Hi,

Does the ASA keep reloading? If so, you can try pushing the image asa841-k8.bin again via rommon. To go to rommon, press the esc key while rebooting ASA.

After successful tftp transfer, the ASA should boot up fine. After it boots up, make sure the image is 
present in flash.

show flash

If not, do a 'copy tftp flash' again and set 'boot system disk0:/asa841-k8.bin' followed by 'write mem' 
after the transfer is complete.

Hi, I reloaded the ASA and made all that you wrote in the instructions but the problem persists...

The ASA works correcty but it views the error in every reload: IO memory blocks requested from bigphys 32bit: 9672

In that case, i'd like to suggest opening a TAC case and having the device replaced.

Waiting to open a TAC, I've done a downgrade to 8.3.1 and

asdm 6.3.1, tha ASA5505 works correctly and

the error message disappears. Thank you for the support

It is completely normal for version 8.4(1) to print this message upon bootup:

The message does not indicate a problem of any kind, and can be ignored. The reason you only see this message come up in version 8.4 and not in 8.3 is because 8.4 introduced 64 bit support for the platforms that support more than 4 GB of memory (such as the ASA5580 and ASA5585). The changes around this area resulted in the message you see at bootup.
