I have a specific question for ASA with software version 8.0+

Do subinterfaces support QoS ?

I looked at the documentation for 7.0 and 8.0.

It is not supported in 7.0 however in 8.0 it is not explicity stated it is not supported.

I am trying to restrict the bandwidth on a subinterface and I am wondering if it can be done on an ASA with 8.x

TIA

if you want to prioritize traffic on a sub-interface only you won't be able to do it. You will need to add a name to the physical name and then apply the priority-queue to that physical interface.

I hope this helps.

I am running version 8.2 and it doesn't allow it.

Like I said you can configure the sub-interfaces and apply the QoS policies on the physical interface that contains the subinterfaces.
