topic Running in paralell / testing of PIX in Network Security

I'm trying to test with my PIX before its introduction soon. I've tried mirroring the traffic destined for our current FW, to the Ethernet0 of the PIX, and ensured that traffic was present. However, there's no syslog output at all. I'm doing this so that can get syslog output & correct problems before-hand, rather than after implementation.

Does anyone know how to throw real, live traffic at the PIX, and log it with syslog?

-alex

use some traffic generator to throw traffic towards PIX. download and install any shareware syslog server.

Configure PIX to send the SYSLOGs to it.

Thanks

Nadeem
