      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using static routes would be the best, unless you have a router off of the inside and/or outside interfaces that has/have a need to exhange routes with the pix.  The pix would have these statements:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 gw-address &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;route inside  10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 internal-gw-address&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If there are no routers on the inside, then the route inside statement is not needed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This assumes that you have a valid static outside/public ip address allocated for you to use.  If your pix will get a dynamic address, then go to &lt;A class="jive-link-custom" href="http://www.cisco.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.cisco.com&lt;/A&gt; and exmaine the pix 6.3 doc to get the details on configuring the pix as a dhcp or a PPPoE client.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
