You can verify the PIX does not have the license required by using the show version command. If 3DES and AES is there, you don't have to do anything else, otherwise you can go to this page to receive your activation key: https://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Software/FormManager/formgenerator.pl?pid=221&fid=1283. After that, follow the upgrading the activation key information found here: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/upgrade.shtml#upgradeactivation

thanks that was it, wasnt turned on and getting the PAK was easy...
