topic ASA in multicontext transparent mode in Network Security

Hello,

is it possible that ASA running in multicontext and transparent mode generates syslog, ntp, snmp...packets which will be sourced from its MANAGEMENT ip address (rather than global IP address)?

Thanks

That is correct. All packets sourced from the transparent context destined to the syslog server will have the management IP address of the context.

That is the case with routed mode context as well. Packets will be sent to the syslog server source with the interface IP address that is facing the syslog server.

Dont' miss my ATE event Starts January 3, 2011: https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/netpro/ask-the-expert

-KS
