Console on FO pix

I have a pair of PIX-535's that I've recently inherited at a new position. The OS version is different between the two. I'd like to upgrade the OS on the failover unit, but cannot access the console port. Nothing is displayed on my session. Is this common? If so, is there some way to circumvent this?

Thanks!

Hi Mynul:

I tried that. The PIX that I can't access via the console port is the secondary one - I don't have any problems with the active PIX. I've disconnected all cables, set my terminal software for 9600,n,8,1 and restarted the PIX and I still get no console access. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Rich
