Automatic TFTP on PIX

Greetings,

I have PIX in my network. I want my pix to automatically TFTP/FTP configuration to our TFTP/FTP box. I checked PIX PDM and it has this feature to TFTP but it does not do it automatically. You have to tell it to save configuration on TFTP manually. I want my PIX to send configuration automatically to our TFTP server .

Hi Altaf,

There isn't such feature available. It s a good suggestion though. In the meantime, you may want to hav a cron job login to the pix and execute the command to get the config, something like this;

configure net 10.1.1.1:/tftp/config/pixconfig

I think he wants to have the PIX config 'stored' on another box. In this case it should be "write" and not "configure"

write net 10.1.1.1:/tftp/...

You are right. I somehow was thinking the requirement was to get the config from the TFTP into the pix.
