topic Pix Interface Problem in Network Security

I have to PIXen running PIX Code 6.1(1). The secondary PIX is showing an interface in Normal (Waiting) mode. Now I have replaced the PIX and 4-port Ethernet card (PIX-525 team running 6.1(1) code.

At this point, I am swapping the failover cable and possibly upgrading the software. Does anyone know of a software bug that may cause this?

Many thanx.

I doubt this'll be hardware related, I've seen interfaces get "stuck" quite often. First off I would seriously consider upgrading to 6.1(4) at least, 6.1(1) is not a good code to run, lots of issues with it. You cna also try a "failover reset" command to see if that'll bring the interfaces up into the proper mode.

In short, stop replacing hardware, I doubt that's the problem.
