All the documentation that I have read deals with smart-card authentication on the client. One such document (in case you need it) is available at http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/configipsecsmart.html. However, I don't remember ever reading about smartcard support on PIX.... in fact, I'm pretty sure that the same is not supported.

Hi, is it possible to use a smart-card (or token, like aladdin e-token) to authenticate a vpn on a pix using the default VPN client (l2tp/ipsec) coming with windows2000/xp ?

It seems that EAP support is required and then smartcard/token auth is possible only with the Cisco VPN client.
