PIX Device Manager (PDM)

Hi,

I am trying to install PDM on PIX 520. I copied the image (2.1.1) on to the firewall using tftp. But after reload I cannot see the PDM image listed in the output. But when I try to access the PIX through explorer (using https) it gives me the enable passord page and after that it shows "page not found". The version of the image in the PIX is 6.2(2). Can someone suggest a solution?

Did you check the following things:

- Is DES or 3DES enabled on the pix?

- Are these commands in place:

http enable

http [netmask] [if_name]

Yes, I have configured the above commands. DES is enabled. The url you provided is a very useful one. I think I will have to reinstall the image as I was getting "PDM not installed" message on PIX 520. But I installed the same image in PIX 515 and its working well. That confuses me. 😞
