I have a PIX 501 and all the lights keeps on blinking continously. It also will not give me access to the console or PDM . I feel it could be a hardware problem. Now it is out of warranty what can be done about it

If you are unable to get console access, check the following:

1) Ensure that the correct console cabel is connected.

2) Ensure that the memory in the PIX is seated properly. If indeed this is the problem, the clearest indication comes from the fact that the fan will function but console access will not be given.

3) Check whether or not the PIX finds the flash and RAM
