Not able to login IPS through GUI mode

Hi,

I have upgraded the engine version of IPS-4240-k9 from " 7.0(2)E4 to "Engine Version 7.0(4) E4 ", after the upgradation i am able to login through SSH(putty) but if i try to login through GUI Mode it showing "Please wait while IDM is loading the current configuration from sever" after 100% loading it giving error as

"errSystemError-ct-sensorApp.454 not responding,please the check the system processes

The coonect to the specified IO::clientPipe failed"

For this error i have rebooted the IPS, but still i am facing the same error. Kindly help me to resolve this issue

Hello

Try downgrading the sensor using the following procedure:

If it solves the issues, try installing one more time. If the issue still persists, I would suggset to open a TAC Case. This is not a known issue AFAIK.

Thanks for your valuable suggestion, can i get a command to start "Analysis engine" in IPS-4240-k9.

Hello Tejesh

To restart the analysis engine you need to:

Setup a 'service' account on the box
Login with the service account
SU to root using "su -"
Type the same password as the service account for root logon
Restart the CIDS services using

/etc/init.d/cids restart

/etc/init.d/cids stop

/etc/init.d/cids start
