I have several sets of firewalls running active/standby that I want to upgrade from 8.0.5 to 8.2.2. According to the cisco docs to do this without downtime (which as they are running live web services is required) I need to go from the 8.0.x release to 8.1.x and then onto 8.2.x.

All well and good but there aren't any 8.1.x images available to download.

So can I go from 8.0 to 8.2 without downtime in between the upgrades? Or if not have you any suggestions on how I can do this.

Hello,

8.1 code line is available only for 5580 platform. Since you are going from

8.0(5) to 8.2, you can follow the zero downtime upgrade procedure.

http://cisco.biz/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/release/notes/asarn82.html#wp

315678

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/configuration/guide/admin

_swconfig.html#wp1053398

Hope this helps.

Regards,

NT
