topic IPS 4270 - error console port ? in Network Security

I have two IPS 4270-20-K9,

I cant console one of them. With same setting of terminal program (Hyperterminal or secureCRT) I can connect the other IPS.

If I exchange module (error module IMG_0871.jpg) between two IPS, I can see error module still get error with other IPS. And good module still work with error chasis.

So I think the module has error.

And I can see Diagnostic Panel

Diagnostic Panel with good module has led with number: 01 (good module and Diagnostic Panel .jpg )

Diagnostic Panel with error module has led with number: 51 (error module and Diagnostic Panel IMG_0867.jpg)

Please help me identify error.

Should I have to RMA? If I have to RMA, I dont see PN in the error module

Do I have to RMA all device (chasis and module) or I only have RMA the error module ?

I'd suggest keep the good module and one of the chassis. RMA the remaining, because you can have the entire chassis RMAed and not the module separately. For this you'll need chassis serial no.

Paps
