ASA active standby failover if i used only one ip address on interface

ASA active standby failover if i used only one ip address on interface

for example, in outside interface used only active ip address not used standby ip address

but inside interface used both active and standby ip address?

Could this be the issue?

Hello,

If you are short of IP addresses, you can certainly use IP address only on

the outside interface and not on the secondary (no standby). The only thing

will be that the standby interface would be in "waiting" status. While

outside interface does not have a standby address, you can configure the

inside interface with standby.
