connection limits on ASA

we have an ASA 5520 & 5540. my understanding says the connection limit on 5520 is around 120000 connections.Please correct if this is wrong.

got certain doubts on connection limits:

- does this mean limit on tcp or udp or both

- what happens if it exceeds the limt, drops the connections or hangs the firewall

- any way to check what is the max limit and the current usage on the firewall

For ASA 5520, the maximum connections are 280,000 (inc. all traffic).

To check for the current connections: show conn count
