To avoid confusion my previous comment was refering to a 5510, I did not notice that we were dealing with a 5520.

Indeed as Andrew mentioned the 5520s should have 4 slots. So, this should be tracked through a case with TAC.

PK

Hello

could somebody tell me please, if you already encountered the following issue :

To upgrade the ASA 5520 from 8.0 to 8.3 we need a Dram upgrade .

To do this we need the following Memory Kit: ASA5520-MEM-2GB=.

Our ASA 5520 though posses only one DRAM Slot on the motherboard .

On the Cisco TAC , the ASA documentation I have found , always mention four slots on the ASA

for this upgrade. But our ASA5520 has only one slot. The other three are not solded.

Is there any information about, from which ASA H/W release are the other

three slots present on the mainboard.

Please see attached . "show Version"

Thank you . I`ll really apriciate it if someone could give me a hint about this issue.

PK, we're dealing with an ASA5520 that should always have 4 DIMM slots. This issue should be tracked through a TAC case.
