Hi,

I have Cisco Pix 5.15 with Version 5.1(2). I have three ethernet interface. One for the inside and two for outside. The outside interface is connected to the Fast ethernet interface of 3640 which has two ip address one primary and another secondary since it is connected to two different isp's(Two T1). Now the problem is i am able to add the route statement like

route inside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.X.X.X

route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 X.X.X.X

but when i add

route outside1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Y.Y.Y.Y

iam getting an error stating that "Cannot add route entry" I have already created a outside1 ip address and an global for outside 1(Which is my second outside interface and which is pointing to the secondary ip address of the Fast ethernet Interface in the Cisco 3640).

Thanks in Advance

The PIX is not a router. You can only specify a single default route for a PIX firewall i.e. you can only have one entry of route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x. In any other outside routes you will need to specify a source address. Otherwise, the PIX will not know which interface to use to send "default route traffic".
