topic NAC CCA issue in Network Security

We have an intermittent issue with some clients not having the CCA agent pop up and run when they connect to the network. Sometimes the same user (using the same PC) will have everything work correctly. The client systems are located remotely from the CAS/CAM, which is configured as L3 OOB and using version 4.7.2. By remotely I mean 5 layer 3 hops with 5 ms latency and a minimum bandwidth between the systems of 100 MB/sec.

Has anyone seen a problem like this, and if so have you found a solution?

Could this be caused by excess latency between the client and the CAS/CAM, or a slow responding system?

Bruce Clough

Network Engineer

NSTec

When this happens, can the users ping the CAS? If you right click on the client, is the Login option grayed out?

Faisal
