      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you guys know if I can monitor the health of the VPN connections terminating on the ASA using SNMP?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have seen the Cisco Security Manager and other tools, but I need to know if I can really get this information from SNMP, and if so how?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Federico.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes ASA supports SNMP traps for VPN monitoring&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;following SNMP traps you can enable on your ASA&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;asa(config)# snmp-server enable traps ipsec start stop&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;asa(config)# snmp-server enable traps remote-access session threshold-exceeded&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also I found following discussion here on the forum&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A class="active_link" href="https://community.cisco.com/message/1330760;jsessionid=6EB4A6F00AE24CC4067DB6F475C4B002.node0"&gt;https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/1330760;jsessionid=6EB4A6F00AE24CC4067DB6F475C4B002.node0&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;M.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope that helps rate if it does&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
