      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;IPS can be performed in IOS on routers. There are some routers that also support an IPS network module so the process is off loaded to the card. AFAIK no switches support IDS (apart from the 6500). &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope that helps&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
