My apologies for not updating this before. The problem was the IME database table crashed. The fix was to repair the database per the following:

1. Stop Cisco IPS Manager Express service from service control panel.

2. Go to <INSTALL_DIR>\MYSQL\bin</INSTALL_DIR>

3. Open command window there.

4. Enter

             myisamchk -r -q ..\data\alarmDB\*.MYI

5). Start the IPS Manager Express service again to see if it fixes the issue.

This completely resolved my issue.

Thanks.

Hello.... I'm not getting any data displayed in monitoring view. When I hit Apply to run the view, IME searches the database then responds there are too many events to display and prompts to display the first 50000. After hitting YES nothing is displayed. Any ideas?

This worked fine for me up to December last year.

Thanks.

I also have the problem described above but for me it is intermittent. Sometimes I restart the PC which has the manager express manager and it works fine. The other time i reinstalled java runtime and that helped. I have even upgraded the IPS manager which helped only for a day.
