NAC server, manager and Active Directory

I want to ask about NAC Manager, Server and AD.

If I have Active Directory and I create many groups on AD, now I want to ask: NAC can manage group at AD or not (NAC can see the group at AD and NAC will keep the group at AD)? How do NAC manage group in AD?

The Cisco NAC Appliance solution can be configured to authenticated against AD and assign roles based on AD attributes via LDAP mappings.

The NAC appliance is not able to manage AD.
