The system will continue to operate with the currently installed signature set. A valid license must be obtained in order to apply signature updates. Please go to &lt;A class="jive-link-custom" href="http://www.cisco.com/go/license" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.cisco.com/go/license&lt;/A&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;to obtain a new license or install a license. Its not going to promt mode ? &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How can i go to ips configuration mode? &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any steps which are to be done first? &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;ROMMON Variable Settings:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  ADDRESS=172.16.X.X ---MANAGEMNET IP&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  SERVER=172.16.x.x----TFTP SERVER IP&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  GATEWAY=172.16.X.X -------MANAGEMNET IP&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  PORT=Management0/0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  VLAN=untagged&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  IMAGE=IPS-K9-6.1-1-E1.pkg&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  CONFIG=&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  LINKTIMEOUT=20&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  PKTTIMEOUT=4&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  RETRY=20&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;tftp IPS-K9-6.1-1-E1.pkg@172.16.X.X via 172.16.X.X&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;TFTP failure: Packet verify failed after 20 retries&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OBSERVATION:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am doing the ios upgration from IPS-K9-5.1-6-E1 to IPS-K9-6.1-1-E1.pkg&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. rommon #12&amp;gt;---&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;once coming rommon mode i am not able to ping 172.16.x.x manage ip.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2.TFTP failure: Packet verify failed after 20 retries&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3.all same network only&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How to do solve the problem or give me idea&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;The problem is your trying to do install a upgrade package from rommon. You can only install system images using this method (IPS-4240-K9-sys-1.1-a-6.1-1-E2.img. To upgrade you need to reboot the sensor and let it come back up then issue:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(conf)#upgrade &lt;A class="jive-link-custom" href="ftp://" target="_blank"&gt;ftp://&lt;/A&gt;&lt;USERNAME&gt;@X.X.X.X//&lt;INSTAL_DIR&gt;/IPS-K9-6.1-1-E1.pkg. By upgrading you will save all your config changes and sig tunings. Where as a system image will bring your sensor back to default configuration with the new image. &lt;/INSTAL_DIR&gt;&lt;/USERNAME&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;rhoud&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
