FWSM Failover time

Hi Experts,

I am asked to configure FWSM active / passive mode. Also the requirement is to configure the switchover time to as minimum that when I ping from a
DESKTOP PC of one zone to another Zone, I should not get not even single request timeout.

I configured failover poll time to 500 ms and hold time to 3. This is the minimum settings that can be configured.

But still when I ping from a DESKTOP PCs (windows XP) of one zone to another Zone, I am getting single request time out. I swapped the Windows PC with SUN OS. There I am getting 4 Request time out

Please help me in knowning what is the minimum time it will take to switch over. configurable failover poll time to 500 ms and hold time to 3. So does it mean that i can only reduce the time to 1.5 seconds (1500ms) for switch over

Please help me on this. What is the minimum failover convergence time possible. I set it to 500ms and hold as 3. still I am getting 1 Request Time Out
