topic NAC lite manager in Network Security

Hi All,

I am pretty new to NAC technology. I've registered NAC and got a license file. Then downloaded license file to NAC. it says "Lite manager lisence present". it doesn't have device configuration section to add switch and port profile. Also when I try to add NAC server, it says "failed to add server, max has been reached", but it doesn't have any server.

any suggestion would be very appreciated.

Alex

Alex,

Even though your CAM lite can manage three CASs, for each CAS server, you need a CAS license. Please take the PAK number you got with your CAS, and register it on the http://www.cisco.com/go/license

Make sure when the page asks you for a MAC address, that you put the MAC address of eth0 of our CAM and NOT your CAS. All licenses (CAM and CAS) are always issued to the MAC address of eth0 of your CAM.

Once you have the CAS license, add it in to your CAM, add your CAS. Once you add your CAS as OOB CAS, you will see the switch and device profile tabs show up in your menu also.

HTH,

Faisal
