      <description>&lt;P&gt;I want to export ASA image for version 8.0(3) to apply it to another ASA, how can i do so?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can i upgrade from ASA version 7.2(2) to 8.0(3) and if yes, how can i do so? &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;you have to instruct the ASA which image to boot.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ASA(config)#boot system [flash:/disk0:]/[software image name]&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also if you booting the ASDM image as well&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ASA(config)# asdm image disk0:/asdm-522.bin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;see this for instructions &lt;A class="jive-link-custom" href="http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a008067e9f9.shtml#maintask2" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a008067e9f9.shtml#maintask2&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You will have to enter the following command:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ASA(config)# boot system disk0:/asa803-k8.bin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ASA# write memory&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ASA# reload&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then, your ASA will reboot on the new image. Check that everything is OK and remove the old image. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just one thing: If you upgrade your ASA, you would also upgrade your ASDM image (if you use it).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;jr &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
