      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am having problems setting the boot variable on ASA 5520. I downloaded the image from cisco.com. Please assist. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ASA/act(config)# boot system disk0:/asa804-k8.bin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;WARNING: BOOT variable added, but not a valid image disk0:/asa804-k8.bin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I believe your problem is that you need to download the latest ASDM image that is supported by 8.0(4), i.e. ASDM 6.2(1).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Copy that to flash, and change it using:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;asdm image disk0:/asdm-621.bin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;boot system disk0:/asa804-k8.bin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;You should use tftp to transfer your files. Download the images from cisco.com on to your server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Use tftpd32 or any other free tftp server software (Kiwi Cat Tools does it too), and then use ASA command line to 'copy tftp' images across.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I suggest you re-do this for your ASA image too.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Look here for more info:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A class="jive-link-custom" href="http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a008067e9f9.shtml#maintask2" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a008067e9f9.shtml#maintask2&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
