This command in older PIX 515e doesn't have any other arguments, what is the ASA 8.0.4 looking for and why? I don't have ASDM access as I'm running IE8.

ASA-5505-InternalMedicine# config t

ASA-5505-InternalMedicine(config)# crypto map outside_map 62 ipsec-isakmp

ERROR: % Incomplete command

ASA-5505-InternalMedicine(config)#

Snippet of config;

crypto map outside_map 62 ipsec-isakmp

crypto map outside_map 62 match address InternalMedicine

crypto map outside_map 62 set peer 209.X.Y.Z

crypto map outside_map 62 set transform-set ESP-AES-256-SHA

That command "crypto map outside_map 62 ipsec-isakmp" is deprecated for static crypto maps. It is only used for dynamic maps nowadays. It took me ages to work that out too 🙂

Btw, why don't you use the ASDM application that installs itself to your desktop?
