When i enable my IOS IPS on my 7300 router i am unable to access webmail. All the Signitures are set to alert rather than drop.

Does anyone know what might be causing this. When IPS is disabled i can access hotmail website. When i enable it i cannot reach hotmail website. Every thing else seems to work ok.

You need to give us a few more clues:

What version of IOS are you running?

How much DRAM do you have?

What signature file is loaded?

Are you running the builtin signatures?

Have you really verified that none of your signatures are set to drop (sh ip ips sig)?
