If it is down your sub interfaces won't work until the physical is up. Could anyone help.</P><P></P><P>My vlan1 inside interface is set to administratively down. and when I ping its says inside interface is shutdown.</P><P></P><P>I have tried issueing the no shutdown command but it does nothing, and the interface is still set to shutdown.</P><P></P><P>I seem to remember it being this version of the asa software where you have to issue a command other than no shutdown.
