      <title>Cisco security Manager  "client cannot connect  to Authentication service"</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm evaluating the Cisco Security Manager&amp;nbsp; ver 4.14 installed on a vm-ware machine&amp;nbsp;with windows 2012 64bit with us-english locale.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There are two kind of problems:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;during the installation&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; some of the&amp;nbsp;MS-KB requested cannot be satisfied , either because&amp;nbsp; are them installed in a cumulative patch&amp;nbsp; or not for that OS, the install process still end with success but&amp;nbsp; with&amp;nbsp;warnings.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The major problem is about the impossibility&amp;nbsp; for the client software to connect&amp;nbsp; , i followed all the guidelines and did the post installation tasks but still cannot connect, from the local machine too.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm Always receiving the error: "client cannot connect to the authentication service".&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;i did the operations described in :&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/security-manager-43/116183-problem-CSM-00.html" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/security-manager-43/116183-problem-CSM-00.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;but still no success.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;i've also stopped the vmtools service , but no success.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Found only this error in client logs:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;"com.cisco.nm.vms.desktop.CompleteLoginPanel login&lt;BR /&gt;SEVERE: Can't get VMS session: response doesn't start with OK"&lt;/P&gt;
