Recently we deployed new 5515-X ASAs. The firewall and the context were added to the Cisco Security Manager 4.7 client. After attempting to add the IPS sw-module, I get the following error message:

Failed to communicate with device. Cause: Getting config delta: Unbuffered entity enclosing request cannot be requested.

It also says to contact Cisco Technical services.

The other ASA 5525 IPS add just fine. Has anyone seen this error and what did you do to correct it?

Are you using the old Cisco

Are you using the old Cisco IPS module or the new FirePOWER type?

Please share output of "show module" from the ASA cli to confirm.

The IPS on a 5515-X Firewall is actually a software module. Below is the part of show module that displays the type of IPS module. I also included the show version as well. I recently upgraded to CSM 4.8 and I get the same issue. Appreciate your help in advance.
