    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Normally, the IOS upgrade will leave your config intact.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The hard part will be implementing the firewall rules.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I suggest you first deploy them on secondary HSRP router and test them with two computers, one on each side ( both pointing to the physical IP of the secondary router).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When the rules are ready, copy them to the primary.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please rate if this helped.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cheers,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Daniel&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Upgrading to IOS firewall</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;folks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have a HSRP router pair on my perimeter which i'm going to upgrade to a firewall pair so i can take advantage of active/standby and for better management&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;has anyone enable the firewall on a working router before?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;will i lose any of my config?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks to anyone taking the time to reply&lt;/P&gt;</description>
