Hi - I have same issue. About to plan to replace our RSP440 with RSP880. Every management tool will fail after this because there will be a new ssh-key. Anybody knows how to backup the old key from the RSP440 and import it to the new RSP?

how to backup and/or restore rsa host key for ios-xr

So it seems the rsa host key is stored in a database in one of the ios-xr filesystems. I've been tasked with restoring both RSPs on router, and while having backup configs, licenses, and snmp folders have all been prescribed, I'm very concerned about the fact that being forced to generate a new rsa host key will likely get in the way of operations. I find it hard to accept that the router identity is ultimately changed because we only allow ssh connections and every user/tool/whatever will likely be interrupted when the new host key is put in place, and we'll be accosted with questions. There needs to be a way to do this. Can anyone advise? Thanks!
