Can I deploy a 5510 or 5520 with all of the below modules/features integrated in a single box?

1.AIP-SSM

2.CSC-SSM

3.Firewalling

4.SSL/IPSec VPNs

that was helpful but what I need to know is whether I can have content filtering,intrusion prevention,firewalling and VPN concentration on the same ASA box?

Hi,

The ASA only has a single slot for expansion cards (i.e. SSMs or 4-GE card). So, to answer your question specifically, you will not be able to use all of these modules on the same physical ASA.

As some persons have all ready mentioned, you aren't going to get all of that in one box.

You can get 3 and 4 in all ASA models.

You can get (1 OR 2) and 3 and 4 in 5510s, 5520s and 5540s.

1 and 2 is not availible in a 5505, 5550, 5580-20 or 5580-40.

Additionally, any time I have installed a AIP or CSC and you look at ALL possible traffic for either module, the ASA hasnt always responded so well. The CSC module had issues, specifically in redundant configurations.
