Hi all,

Friends, i want to change FreeBSD in ASA 5505. But i've trouble with FreeBSD 'cause i is DNS server. I mean that our web-site is put inside in our network and also primary mail-server Microsoft Echange 2003. When i change ASA every thing work fine but our web-site is unreacheble as from outside also from inside network. On ASA i made a port forwarding and static nat correctly. i also make a A record on DNS service on windows server 2003. but i did not work. plz, advice what i have to do to resolve my probem. great thanks in advance. )))

if your dns server is located outside and your web server is inside then in that case you have to add DNS keyword in your static command. Moreover you can use alias. But if your DNS server is inside then it check what name is it resolving into an ip address.
