I have a cisco pix 525 v6.3 with UR license (and another with an FO license). Currently they have 2 gig ints, and 6 Fa ints. Normally the sh ver shows me max physical int = 8 and max int = 12. But I want to make sure from you guys the following:

1. how many logical interfaces can I create on an interface?

2. how many total interfaces (physical + logical ) can this pix support?

According to this report it can support up to 10 physical interfaces.

Up to 100 virtual interfaces per firewall not per interface, meaning you can create as many virtual interface per phyical as long it does not exceed 100.

nice info on the link you gave me.

but when i see the sh ver information, i get

Maximum Physical Interfaces: 8

Maximum Interfaces: 12

what is this supposed to mean? this opposes to the info on the link above.
