Hi,

We are currently evaluating CSM 4.1 and have got stuck on a couple of things.

We have manually added 4 test firewalls (2 x ASA5510's, 1 x 5520 & PIX515E) via Configuration Manager , the pull in fine and I can see the rules and details about the firewalls but

1. We cannot see anything in the Event Viewer

2. We cannot see anything in the Report Manager

I have made sure that the firewalls can see the CSM Server via HTTPS & snmp, has anyone got any pointers on what we are doing wrong ?

Regards

Scott.

Hi Scott,

Have you configured the firewalls to send their syslogs to the CSM server's Event Viewer? You'll need (at a minimum) the following configuration on the firewall:

logging enable

logging trap <LEVEL></LEVEL>

logging host <INTERFACE> <CSM_IP></CSM_IP></INTERFACE>

-Mike
