FMC appliance is basically just a C-Series server with linux installed on top. You should not have any issues with adding more memory but keep in mind that this is not supported, so proceed at your own risk.

Adding memory to a DC3500

We are replacing memory in one of our FS3500 with 48GB, the old 12 GB RAM is removed. It seems a waste not to use that memory. We have an old DC3500 (without servicecontract) with 12GB installed and empty memory slots.

Can I add the 12 GB memory to that machine and in which slots should I place them.

Does anyone know?

regards Henk Fictorie
