I'm not completely sure what is causing the issue but when trying to access an https site from our internal LAN the session times out during the user authentication phase (i.e after having entered username and password).</P><P>The problem occurs when using the ISPs proxy server sitting on the network edge (which sends a timed out message) and when not using a proxy server. In both cases the traffic must traverse 2 PIXs running 6.3(5) before reaching the internet. The PIX timeouts looks high (1 hr default I think for TCP) but I cannot point to anything else as the cause for these https timeouts.
