I found out that a couple other CSM users had jobs pending for the device - hence I could not delete it. The solution was to go into Tools/Security Manager Administration/Take Over User Session and take over the session of each user displayed. This seems to actually remove the user's control of any jobs pending. Once that was done I could delete the object.

Unable to delete device in CSM 4.0.1

In CSM 4.0.1, I have a discovered ASA-5510 device. I've been playing around with deloying policies to the device, and during the last attempt to deploy a policy, I canceled the deployment attempt because the device was not responding.

Then I decided to start from scratch, so I went to delete the device from CSM, but got an error message. The Device Delete Validation box popped up with the message "Policy or Assignment Locked".

How does one find a locked Policy or Assignment in order to unlock it?
