      <title>Cisco ASA5520 failover trigger</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have problem with the ASA firewalls failover, when the ether channel between the layer 2 switches are pulled out, this triggers failover on the ASA, the ASA are Active/Standby. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please see the attached file for the real architecture this is in visio.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also see the failover config below, the Primary firewall has "failover lan unit primary" and the secondary firewall has "failover lan unit secondary"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As anyone experienced this before?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;failover&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;failover lan unit primary&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;failover lan interface FW_Failover GigabitEthernet0/3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;failover polltime unit msec 500 holdtime 3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;failover link GiFW_Failover GigabitEthernet0/3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;failover interface ip FW_Failover x.x.x.x x.x.x.x standby x.x.x.x &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
